British Liver Trust
The British Liver Trust (BLT) is the only UK charity helping adults with all forms of liver disease, including hepatitis C and other forms of infective hepatitis. BLT also produces an excellent Bulletin (please direct enquiries towards BLT).
Drugscope
DrugScope was created through the merger of the UK's foremost drug information and policy organisations: the Institute for the Study of Drug Dependence (ISDD) and the Standing Conference on Drug Abuse (SCODA) - two charities with a total of sixty years in the national and international drugs field. Drugscope is able to provide the "Making Harm Reduction Work" booklets that were produced jointly with the Department of Health, as well as a wealth of other useful material.
Hepnet
An excellent Canadian web site with immense amounts of information about hepatitis.
CDC (USA) Hepatitis C web pages
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recognised as the lead US federal agency for protecting the health and safety of people - in the USA and abroad, providing credible information to enhance health decisions, and promoting health through strong partnerships. This is the hepatitis C page.
SCIEH (Scotland)
For up-to-date epidemiological information on hepatitis C in Scotland. In England and Wales, the same information can be obtained from the CDSC/PHLS web site, which can be accessed through the "home page" on this web site. It can also be accessed through the SCIEH web site or through the 'Action on Hepatitis C' Geocities site linked to the "Contact" page on this web site (the web site address for the PHLS/CDSC is http://www.phls.co.uk/).
NICE guidance on hepatitis C management and treatment
The definitive guide in England & Wales to the use of intereferon and ribavirin combined therapy in hepatitis C (Scotland issues separate but similar advice). The NICE guidelines make it clear that units providing services for hepatitis C MUST provide expert pre- and post-test counselling specifically targetted towards hepatitis C.
'Hugo, the man with the talking liver'
Superb educational cartoon strip dealing with hepatitis C transmission in injecting drug use (warning - strong (but hilarious) language !!!).

Mainliners
Mainliners is a limited company and a registered national HIV charity working with ex and current injecting drug users, commercial sex workers, and others directly affected by these and other issues such as hepatitis. It is a voluntary organisation funded by grants and public donations. The organisation has a hepatitis C support group and a hepatitis C web page.
The Haemophilia Society
The Haemophilia Society was established in 1950 and is the national charity in the UK that represents people with haemophilia, von Willebrand's disease and related bleeding disorders. The site recognises the importance of hepatitis C to people with bleeding disorders and devotes a large section to hepatitis C.
Hepatitis Central
A superb US web site devoted to hepatitis C and related issues.
UK Harm Reduction Alliance
The UK Harm Reduction Alliance is a group of people concerned about the current state of British Drugs Policy and working towards improvement. Hepatitis C is one such issue.
